For me it took some steps to get there. I had to open up myself to the idea of God because I had shut Him out of my life. I recognized that money fame and friends were not all that fulfilling. I seem to be empty. So I guess the second thing was to acknowledge that emptiness and realize that I had not been able to fill that big hole in the middle of my being. I became open to the idea of God. I started to search through thought, faithful Christians and especially started to read the Bible. It is so true that if you search for God you will truly find Him. Next I realized that the Bible said that there was only one way not several ways to our Father God. (Heb 11:6 NKJV) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. This scripture helped me so much. To please Him I had to believe and use Faith not my mind only. Next I believed that He existed and truly wanted to reward and bless me.
